I’ve been to Portland, Oregon twice and both times have been so much fun. The first time I went to Portland I only had a few hours to explore but I was happy to have been able to see so much more the second time I visited.

Corvallis is about 1.5 hours from Portland and is such a cool spot. It’s a college town and there are so many different kinds of restaurants, bookstores, coffeeshops and it’s home to a beautiful campus. Check out all of my recommendations and let me know if you’re inspired to visit.
If you’re leaving Multnomah Falls and heading back to Portland, I highly recommend you add Vista House to your bucket list! It’s a quick detour and you get some truly amazing views!
If you’re in Portland, Oregon and wanting to see some beautiful nature, I highly recommend you check out Multnomah Falls! Multnomah Falls is about 30 minutes from Portland and it’s so worth it. You’re able to either view the Falls from the bottom or go on a few hikes to get the best views.
Parking near Multnomah Falls is a little rough as there’s not that many spaces but you can do what we did and park at Wahkeema Falls and do a short hike from Wahkeema Falls to Multnomah Falls. There’s also a separate parking area that is a little further away if you don’t want to hike.
If you’re in Astoria, Oregon and heading towards Portland I highly recommend you check out Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach! It’s a beautiful beach with a gigantic rock. It’s so impressive and the town is also super cute. We didn’t have much time to explore but I’ll definitely be coming back. Let me know if you’re inspired to visit!
While in Oregon, we met a Portland local who told us we needed to check out Astoria as it was a cool city and so we did! Astoria is about two hours away from Portland and I’d recommend you check it out if you delicious food, cool views, and museums! I visited Puerto Vallarta earlier this year and fell in love with this beautiful place on Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
There are several all inclusive resorts here including Fiesta Americana, a beach front resort with the best views. Here you can find beautiful beaches, fun night life, and incredible food.

If you love seafood then I highly recommend you book a trip to Puerto Vallarta. It’s a beautiful coastal town in Mexico that is only a quick 2 hour direct flight from Phoenix. Check out all of my favorite spots in Puerto Vallarta and let me know which sounds the best!
I’m STILL working on the Ultimate Arizona Bucket List, there is just so much to do here in Arizona…but you already know that I will be including plenty of hiking!
Lookout Mountain Preserve is a very underrated (and semi-unknown) park. When my friend Jose and I went, we literally saw no other hikers but that doesn’t mean that this hike is boring. It was a great, pretty steep hike with a ton of beautiful scenery. The day we went was also super windy but it helped us deal with the Arizona heat.
I recommend this hike if you are looking for a solitary hike that will give you a great workout. When we hiked this mountain, we did the Summit and Circumference trails.
